Broward County is a regional body working together with government partners and stakeholders to achieve common goals. We are home to innovation and a great place to live, work, play, and visit.

Broward County joined the STAR network as a Pilot Community in November 2012. In February 2014, Broward County became the first county government in the United States to achieve a Certified 4-STAR Community Rating. In March 2019, Broward County recertified under v2.0, earning 538 points, more than 100 over their initial score, and was again Recognized for National Excellence in Sustainability.
